Enhancement bonuses of Magical Armor versus Touch Attacks?

The way to do this, perhaps, is have the enchantment change the type of protection completely. Like Armor of Dodging or something. It's something I've thought about, as I have a character with AC 21 but it's 10 vs. touch attacks. I'm petrified of anything that strikes with touch attacks!

Just use a force enhancement. Touch attacks don't bypass that, as far as I know.

It's similar to Ghost Touch. Hmmm....

+4 does sound about right, but +7 for both Touch Attack and Ghost Touch seems high.

Hmmm......

Touch attachs bypass force based armor bonuses just fine (such as mage armor or bracers of armor).

Your thinking of incorporeal attacks, which are a sub-type of touch attacks that are stopped by force-based armor. Ghost-touch enchanted armor will also work against incorporeal attacks, but not against regular touch attacks.

Okay so would shield (which is forced based ) provide AC against touch attacks including ranged, since it is a cover bonus?

Yes. Touch attacks do not bypass cover bonus's to AC. Shield is probably the most effect AC bonus spell in the game.

I beleive that shield (wizard spell) is a cover bonus to ac these days...

I think it would work for attacks coming from the opposite side of the shield for you (the one you designated to be defending)...

On pages 119 and P. 125 of the players handbook it states that only Size modifiers, Dex Modifiers and deflection bonus (if any) all apply normally to AC against touch attacks.

So haste, dodge, sacred, divine, profane, luck, and just about anything else shouldn't apply according to what is printed.

But like I said in an earlier post we use shield as a bonus to touch attacks becuase of the cover bonus. Sure you don't need to penetrate you just need to touch the target, but it is harder to touch them if they are partially or totally covered by shield, doors, windows, friends, etc.......

Nope. What it says is "your AC does not include any armor bonus, shield bonus, or natural armor bonus. Your size modifier, Dexterity modifier, and deflection bonus (if any) all apply normally."

A whole slew of bonuses are not mentioned (dodge, sacred, lauck, insight, etc), because they still apply.
What does not apply is armor, shield and natural armor.
