ENnies 2008 Judge Voting is Open

I cast my vote as well!

Note: There are only options 1-9 and 10 candidates. does the "non-voted for" individual count as a rank 10 vote?
In an SRV ballot the number of determinant rounds is always 1 less than the number of candidates. This isn't an error - last year we had twenty candidates but there where 19 ballots.

Incidentally the computer seeks out your highest choice number in each round from among those not eliminated. I could use numbers 20-40 and it wouldn't matter to how it is coded. This also has the advantage that if you make a mistake and vote for candidates say in 2, 3, and 4 (forgetting to do a #1) the computer will pull your choice marked 2 first.

Thanks for the clarification Michael.

I think it may just be because the nomination/election process is happening at a different time of year than usual. I know that, had I not been married to one of the 2007 judges, I probably wouldn't have noticed that nominations/elections were happening.

However, if we stick with this approximate timeline in future years, I suspect we'll again see more nominees. :)

I voted. I wonder why there was only half as many nominees this time around?

I'm not entirely sure, either. It may be that Gencon is distracting people -- or it may be that some folks were worried by the quantity of reading. Master of the Game's blog exposed that more than in past years.
