FLOOR RULES
Ok Everyone. Here are what few floor rules I have for the Ennies ceremony. These are in addition to the floor rules of the con itself (which basically boils down to behave yourself).
1) The front two or so rows will be reserved for the nominees. If you sit in one, you will be asked to move. The reason for this is three-fold. First, the front rows are honorary, and in the end this ceremony is to honor the publishers and writers that make our game so good. Second, most of the house will be dark - the only exception will be the first two rows which will have light spilling off the stage. It is safer to move from a lit row than mill about in the dark. Third, by having the nominees/winners up front, they will need less time to move to and from the stage, speeding up the show.
2) If your taking pictures let me know. I'm going to set aside an area for photographers. I certainly do not want anyone milling about in the isles during the ceremony as this is a distraction.
3) The usual theatre rule of turn off cell phones and pagers.
VOLUNTEERS
These are the positions I need filled. Come see me at 1:00 PM on the 23rd (Wednesday) in the White River Ballroom if interested.
2 Ushers. Job Description: Enforce the above. Authority to remove persons from the show is granted but hopefully will not need to be used.
1 Light Board Op (I think) I'm still not sure if I need someone to control the lights seperate from myself. Sound and slides will run through my computer.
Good luck to the nominees and let's all have fun!
