This year's candidates have made their pitch, and now it's time for you to vote. All you need do is choose who you feel would make a good ENnies judge this year; you can find out more about each candidate by reading this thread, where each has described why they feel they should be elected.

It's a lot of work, and quite a responsibility, so please vote for who you feel will be dependable, reliable, impartial and fair. Please try and give it some thought before you vote, and look at each of the candidates.

As in previous years, you may vote for more than once person. If there are two or three people who you would like to see as judges this year, go right ahead and vote for them.

Good luck to everyone!

Not that it's relevant quite yet, but there are a couple of issues on the table which the judges will be tackling this year before they begin any judging:

1) Categories -- people have suggested a new PDF category.

2) 2nd/3rd place awards - several publishers have asked for these (Gold/Silver/Bronze...?)

3) That WotC issue again.

If you have an opinion on any of these issues, please take the time to weigh in and let the judges (whoever they end up being!) know in this thread.

I'd say no. This isn't the science fair and everyone doesn't get a prize for showing up. We're here to honor the best at the craft. The very best.

Besides, isn't judging enough work already?

Disagree. All d20 products should compete on the same level. There are things that PDFs can do that print can't just as it is the other way around. Segregation leads to the perception that one is better than the other, which I do not believe. Just different.

Naw. As it stands, all five nominees get some mileage out of being nominated. A second or third place award might give a tad more exposure to that one winner but would reduce the value of simply being nominated, which I feel lessens the awards overall. Five nominees and one winner is a tradition in other awards for reasons such as like that.

I believe that any product with the d20 logo has a right to compete. Removing WotC just makes the awards seem like third party publishers are content with the table scraps instead of being willing to stand up and produce properly competing products. I may not eat at the banquet table in the big hall, but my food doesn't come off the floor either. Leave WotC to enter if they feel they can compete! ;)

(At some point there will be a leveling off of who wins which award, and third party pubs will find ways to saturate the market better. If nothing else, the awards help show how important it is that d20 publishers make efforts to be broader-based and get the word out. Sooner or later someone will produce material that rivals WotC. Do we then invite WotC back into the awards to prove it, or prove it in its proper time?)

I agree with Mark about the WotC issue. Let them compete. They might have more exposure but there's plenty of other d20 companies offereing products that can beat theirs. Why cheapen the win by not allowing anyone to compete?

How many judges are there and when does voting end? I'd think it would just be easier to put all the reviewers on the judges' committee and then pick a token community member. After all, the reviewers know most of the products out there anyhow.

I agree and actually many people seem to say that their products are not as good as those produced by some d20 companies. For example, their adventures are pretty weak as they don't put too much support (or at times, effort) into them.

When do the companies have until to submit products for nomination and is this for 2002 products or those produced in 2003 up until the deadline, to? When do we vote on the nominees? How are you guys going to read all of that by then, by the way?
