Virtually any Star Trek novel by Peter David is bound to be good, in my opinion. I can't think of a single one I didn't like.

Agreed!

There is this one TNG novel I've been trying to find... I don't think it was wrote by him, though... I don't remember more than a few details, but there was a bunch of ambassadors or something onboard Enterprise, and one of them had a tail or something... strangely that's about all I can remember :(

For another decent-to-good Borg novel, check out "The Return" by William Shatner and Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens.

And yes, I agree that Peter David it da man when it comes to ST novels.

You're thinking of Vendetta, by Peter David, which tied together the planet-killer from TOS (you know, the thing that looked sort of like a glowing blue tornado on its side) with the Borg from TNG. It sounds really weird but it worked incredibly well.

Yup. I have that one. Read when it was first released. Damn fine book. I particularly enjoyed the demonstration of Borg adaptability with the assimilation of the Ferengi. That, and the starship battles were just frickin' brutal. :)

Peter David wrote ST novels? He's the best writer to ever work on Green Lantern, so I'm not surprised the novels are decent.

Peter David worked on Green Lantern? Are you sure? He's had extended runs on the Incredible Hulk, X-Factor, Aquaman, Supergirl, Young Justice, and Spyboy, as far as I know.

But he is the guy who's written those Star Trek novels, yes. I think he's done some TV work, too, but not for Star Trek.

I think they turned a Ferengi into a Speaker, like how Picard was turned into Locutus.
That`s right...
I also liked the AI on one of the conquered planets, that deactivated the defenses of the planet to become part of the Collective...
