Enterprise

First they need to clean up the first 3 seasons with some valid explinations to fit them into the existing timeline before they can "reset" the show and start making it an actual prequal series.

I don't think cleanup is required. It'd be nice, but we can do without it. We fans have always gotten around inconsistencies in the past :)

However, the one thing they cannot afford to do is engage in lots of cleanup before trying to focus on being a prequel. Spending a bunch of episodes revising history is not apt to be interesting, and would not be good for a sagging viewer base. Instead, if they are going to clean up, they should do it in context of being a prequel. Slip the repairs into other storylines as they go.

Not me. I want to wipe everything clean and free of Braga's taint. Just wrap up everything he started and begin with a new story arc that Manny Coto can call his own.

I agree. Wrap up the alien Nazis thread and the "Temporal Cold War" (ugh) and start new. Let Manny Coto push the reset button - at the start of "Home" (AFAIK the first "real" Coto episode) he should have Archer step out of the shower a la Bobby Ewing, and say the past two seasons didn't happen.

:]

Really not looking forward to the first two episodes of the season. As good as Nazis are as villians I prefer them more subtle as cardassians. Alien nazis on earth however goes to far. I hope the new direction after this improves but the one sentance summaries for episodes 3-6 are not helping my confindence. I will watch however because after 27 seasons worth of Star Trek I am not giving up on the final season.

From Sci-fi Wire:

Manny Coto, writer and executive producer of UPN's Star Trek: Enterprise, told SCI FI Wire that he found a real challenge bringing the series into its fourth season after the third's cliffhanger ending. "It was a difficult episode to write, because there was a wild twist at the end of season three," Coto said in an interview at a screening of the season-four premiere. "It necessitated a lot of elements that had to be woven together and tell the end of the Temporal Cold War, and kind of launch the stories for season four."

That's straight from the source bay-bee!

Looks like it will be showing at the regular time here. Of with there being no UPN locally, Fox shows those shows, starting at 11 pm. Which puts me in a unique situation, I suppose.
