ENWorlders in Northeast England?

I'm going to be moving to the northeast of England (Durham) at the end of September, and was wondering if any ENers were nearby?

Durham is a really beautiful city though. My mother-in-law and brother-in-law both studied at Durham university and will happily describe it's wonders too!

Very cool! I'll be at University College reading Ancient History and Archaeology. I'm transfering from the U.S. system, so I'll be in my first year, although I'm 36. I should arrive c. 3 October. You?

Heh, University College is only called that in official stuff. The rest of the time it's just 'Castle'

I'm entering my third year this year, and am kinda living in at St. Aidan's College (kinda because Aidan's has a bunch of attached houses to its hall of residence for 3rd year students) - I study History, and am 20. I'm going to be up in Durham circa the same time you are, maybe a bit earlier because I need to move all my gear from a friend's house where it's been sitting over the summer holiday.

I think you'll be glad to know that there's a decent gaming society in Durham. I ran a Planescape campaign over the last year, but will probably drop it this year because I want to actually get to play in a game again rather than DM'ing all the time.
