epic level magic armor/weapon costs

ok this is just confusing me...

if i want to make a suit of armor with enchantments totaling +10 it will have a market price of 100,000 gp
I understand that.. i think :)

if i want a suit of armor that is +1 with say Great spell resistance 25 (+9) i end up with a suit of armor that costs 1,000,000 gp ??
I'm not even sure if i've got that right

or if i simply wish to add an epic special ability to my non epic magic armor
example: +1 armor with acid warding on it (+6) how much does the acid warding cost? 360,000? 359,000?

any help would be greatly appreciated

I do belive it is an instant 10x once you pass the epic threshold. So yes, it would be 1 million for +10 epic armor, 100K for +10 non epic armor.

Those epic enhancements are grossly overrated in terms of market price bonus. You can get almost the same effect other ways for a fraction of the cost.

Is a +1 sword of triple flaming worth 980,000 gcs when a +5 flaming, frost, corrosive, thundering, shocking sword costs a mere 200k?

Universal Minor defense ring cost 22k (5 per rd)
Universal Medium costs 69-132k (12 per rd)
Universal Major costs 216k (30 per dr)
Universal Infinity gets pricey at 2M

Who is going to pay 1,000,000 gcs for 50 protection from a single element on armor when you could have heavy fortification for much much less?

Invulnerable coat of Arnd is pretty feeble for a major artifact. Weaker elemental defense than a Universal Major Ring, +10 armor enhancements (100k) A little boost to turning which don't help much against undead that far exceed your level in hd. +4 caster levels is a lot better than a +4 turning check but not earth shattering. Value? Perhaps 30-50k. Gives permanent stoneskin which is pretty good right up until epic levels where everything bypasses it. Its value is barely epic let alone major artifact material.

You pretty much need 4 feats to create a single category of epic item. The base feat, epic feat, artisan and efficient creation. You don't to spend years creating something that should be considered an artifact but isn't.

All epic items should have the unbreakable quality for free. If one is disjoined then the disjoiner forever loses all magic powers. The sure striking enhancement should add 5 to the DR penetration insead of just raising it to 5.

I'm not sure about the first (haven't given much thought to it), but I definately agree with the latter.

It has long been my personal opinion that any epic item should be treated as an artifact. Including the ability to function in an anti-magic field and the greater resistance against Disjoining. Considering the expense and power of such items belittle artifacts it only seems reasonable.

That would at least explain the sudden cost increase, and what is more make killing some of those insane creatures presented in the epic manual possible without being loaded with epic spells.

Why bother with SR 25 at epic levels. Even an 18th level caster will burn through most of the time, and it will have no effect against epic spellcasters or monsters.

Now a Mantle of Epic Spell Resistance (SR 40); that is an epic item.
