So essentially what you're saying is that munchkins should be encouraged in this fashion, that this kind of gaming should be condoned? And if you don't agree or condone it, you should just not participate or ignore it entirely, right? So it's kind of like saying "the fatah and fanatic Muslims will be comitting terrorist acts against the Israel and non-Muslims abroad whether we say it's ok or not, so putting up specs for all of our bombs and military installations is OK because they'll just build/bomb them anyway."

Sweet jumpin' catfish what the hell kind of analogy is that?!

A vain and feeble ploy to get this thread closed down because you have realized that your arguements amount to 'I don't do things this way in my campaign so no one should be allowed to?'

When you can actually argue a point as a mature adult without resorting to this sort of thing maybe I can take your points seriously but this lends nothing to the discussion at hand.

Other than the form "X will be doing Y no matter what, so ignore it" there is nothing similar between your two statements. Set your red herrings aside, and lets discuss the topic at hand. Terrorism is a real-world concern, the ELH is a game book. As soon as allowing the ELH into my campaign results in the death of innocents, I'll start comparing the two.

It seems to me that you are reacting with: "Don't print anything that could negatively impact my gaming experience." As soon as you can (nd do) single-handedly support the gaming industry, feel free to make those demands. However, since you don't, perhaps you could instead choose to game how you want, and let others game how they want?

You say you don't have time to respond to a well thought out argument, but you have plenty of time to respond to another person's post with inane correlations between statements that are only superficially related. Seems to me like you're just trying to avoid logical discussion. I could be wrong though.

It's a damned personal opinion that effects not one damn thing that you need to care about.

Now that's just patently not true. It effects the people that I interact with on a regular basis just the same. It effects the conversations that take place on this message board. It's obvious that it effects something, otherwise we wouldn't be discussing it and i would not be the only person bringing it up.

I said "one thing you need to care about". No one is going to die. Your style of play isn't going to go away. Your style of play isn't going to be threatened. The Game will still be around. Anime will still exist. It has no real impact. Sure. Everything that happens impacts something. When I sneeze a peice of paper on my desk jitters. But there is no real "effect" from it.

Further, how about trying to defend the innane claim, instead of attacking the one comment I made that could be attacked at the letter of the post and not the spirit.

What the heck happened to this thread???

How can a book, that people do not have to buy or use, garner this sort of responce. I am truly at a loss at how people can complain so bitterly over such completely optional material. This is pathetic.

*shrug* It just seems to happen.

Based on your sig, I think many a mind will be suffocating soon...

What happened?

People are sensitive.

This is just a synopsis, I'm busy at the moment so I can't provide a complete blow-by-blow synopsis, but I think it's evident: personal attacks on every front of what could've been a logical and reasonable discussion. Neat, neh.

No, not "neat".

Not neat at all.

Nor funny. Nor even passable.

If you really think people are sensitive, why in the name of all that is good did you compare Gaming to Terrorism?
