Mali is indeed lucky, and as luck would have it he seems to have stumbled right into a back door. Knowing that the front door is always the worst possible entrance, mali slide throught the whole after activating his cloak of blinking. He is of course careful to stick to the shadows.

The entire facility is made of a bronze-like material. rectangular tiles with strange and undiscernable golden patterns mark the entire facility. Everything is dark, and rather unadvisably foul smelling. Even in these fumes, you can tell that there is the scent of fresh blood in the air. Two water spilling fountains seem to lay, constantly flowing cool water, at the walls to the 'east' and 'west'. You find that the only noticable point of exit is a door to the north, right along the eastern wall.

Rearden will carefully walk up to the door, examining each time before he steps on it to avoid traps (not ridiculous, just cautious). He will then examine the door.

"Thank you for answering my call. I would like to know what you know of these runes."
Veit points at the ones inscribed on the pedestal.

You find yourself in a sprawled out black room. Everything here is covered in coal smoke, and the way is curved with strange turns. When you finally reach the end of the hallway, it's just that, a dead end.

"Those are the markings of the local masters. The creatures that beat me into vile submission for all eternity. The night trolls leave these runes as a symbol of what different fates you could have while here. They are all bad, but some not so much as others. Now, if you mean in particular, they mark that there is a key to open something here. I do not know what, nor would I ever seek it out. Your being here, and persisting to stay and not flee will inevitably end in your destruction."

The following results are made at the door:

Listen - You here nothing over the flow of the water fountains behind you.

Search - The door appears to be free of any locks or problems, it is a light aluminum door, it seems to slide up and lock into place as it's movement mechanism.
