You find yourself in a sprawled out black room. Everything here is covered in coal smoke, and the way is curved with strange turns. When you finally reach the end of the hallway, it's just that, a dead end.

*sigh* a dead end. okeedokee. *digs out gem of seeing* we'll see if it is all the way dead or pretending to be a dead end.

Mali looks through his gem of seeing at the end of the hall. If he finds nothing, he will retrace his steps using his gem. he is very careful while using the gem...it wasn't so long ago he was temporarily blinded for using it a little too freely...

"Of course you may, I have nothing to hide."
The obese, burbling creature of a man examines your gear, and produces the ring that was included in the letter you were incited to this location through.

"Your key, good... fool."

"Please remember, staying here is Genocide -Not Suicide."

You find that the dead end is not dead, but mearly a concealed doorway into a larger room. You have trouble finding the trigger device. You can hear the skittering of small feet, and the bickering of small voices on the other side. After five minutes of inspection, you finally find the mechanism that must be turned (with a great deal of force) in order to unseal the gateway.

Since the door appears to be clear, he will open it.

You find that you enter into a dank stone hallway. Markings of a cryptic nature, written in an old and somewhat foriegn dialect of common, and reads a bit like this:

Drazalthi, Drazalthi, Drazatrhorl.
Seras Vestulien. Seras Vestularn.
Serras Victoria. Master Vampire.
The victim incognito, excluded.
And the great Reset had commenced.

And what was the second, had began.

(You entered from the door to the south.)

Unable to read the letter himself (can't speak/understand Infernal), William is nonetheless intrigued by the ring and map, and decides to find out what the scroll says. He takes it to his brother to see if he can translate it.
Assuming he comes to understand the meaning of the letter, William will ask his brother to accompany him on the journey.
"Arm... a letter? Who's it from?"

"Oh, I suppose you don't know?"

(what kind of character is your brother, would he have a bookish attitude, is he an adventurer, what?)

"Er... alright, I'll definitely be able to translate it... oh my... give me a moment... one second, the decoder ring, that will do the trick!"

After roughly two hours, your brother is able to use a strange ring of decoding to uncover the entirety of the message, it is exactly as detailed above.

Rom, after having read the letter teleports without error to the location on the map.
You find that your teleportation is an obvious success, perhaps too much. You find yourself in the middle of the icy country, looking upon a colossal mammoth like maw. It sits, wide open, leading into the south. You also find that there sits a much smaller mammoth like creature, sleeping in the snow in front of the cavern. It's crystallized back seems to have magic properties, perhaps a potent spell component.

You quickly think over all your adept knowledge, and come to the conclusion that the creature you are looking at is a Shoggothi Horror, a large diamond shelled creature that lives on this northern continent. They would be the top of the foodchain if they were anywhere else.

It naps, ignorant of the incredible power you have, and your intentions, but it appears to be sleeping on a mechanical device, and apparently the large mithral door to the colossal cavern appears rather sealed.

Malibeem listens closely as he knows most languages of this land to determine what the voices are saying.

Malibeem activates Blinking, Displacment and his uses his wand of shield. If the wall seems less than 5' thick, Malibeem will quickly and stealthily blink through the door. If not, he will open the door and then hide in the shadows about 15 feet back.

[if necessary] Seeing that the door will take a great deal of force to open, Malibeem opens his tool kit and applies some bearing grease to the mechanism. Sure that the mechanism will now be quiet while opened,
he slowly opens the door and retreats to the shadows in the hallway.
