The book is decent, but is horribly cliched if you have read much fantasy. There are alot of better things out there to read, but it should make a decent movie.

That about sums it up. Impressive work for an author his age, but it does have every cliche in the book. Lord of the Rings meets Star Wars, with dragons is the way I would sum it up.

Entertaining enough if you don't think to hard about it.
