Eric Noah, stay out of this thread. Everybody else, hop on in.

For me, ENWorld is all of the diversity and originality of RPGnet with even-handed moderation, unbiased implementation of the rules, and just a generally more friendly atmosphere. ENWorld is like your grade school friend's treehouse -- you always know that you'll be welcomed back, even if you sometimes get short with your buddy. You can always hug and make up. I don't get that at many online RPG communities. If it weren't for ENWorld, I'd probably cancel my internet connection :)

i started comeing here b4 3e came out been a lurker for most of that time. and to me this is a real community where real people come togather to share the love of dnd and just to share a pice of there lives with other folks. and to me that will always make this place unto its self. and i would like to say thanks to eric for frist makeing a place for gamers of all types to share a part of themselves and to everyone who makes enworld what it is

What ENWorld means to me:

Enworld it the place I go to recharge my creative batteries by reading about other people's gaming experiences. It's where I become inspired by their stories, rules tweaks or observations. It's where I find a replenish my identity as a gamer by interacting with other gamers, and am reminded that I never have to "grow up" and "get serious" by putting rpgs out of my life to become an "adult." It's where I turn when I have a problem and need friends' perspective in deciding how to address it.

ENWorld is my muse, my sofa, and my refuge.

Gaming would have been an even better experience if we had ENWorld back in the day. We have it now though, and let me say, it's opened my eyes to how other people approach the game, making me a better player and DM (and supplying me with countless ideas for my own games).

The message boards have proved to be a great way to bring enthusiasts and ideas together for our shared hobby.

Thanks very much.

So far I've visited ENWorld and its forums from the following countries: Israel (where I live so daily visits), United States, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Nepal.

It seems that wherever I am in the world, ENWorld helps me feel at home :)

cheers, lior
