Eric Noah's 3rd Edition Website

How many of you are old enough to remember the website? I was waxing nostalgic. I was really excited about the new game. I went to Origins Game Fair in Columbus OH and walked up to play a demo game. Monte Cooke walks up and introduces himself. I don't know Monte Cook from Adam. Okay great I'm in but he seemed surprised I didn't even know who he was. After that though I was following Eric Noah's page faithfully.

How many of you young pups weren't even born yet or were super young?

My friend Ian, who introduced me to D&D in 8th Grade, showed me the site and I was on it way too much over the summer. I went camping with his family the week before the 3e PHB came out and we would wake up each morning and count down the days.

I specifically made my account here to talk 3E pre-release*. I had just gotten back into D&D and 2E was very much showing its age and I was excited to hear the new ideas being rolled out. Having a universal resolution system was like Christmas for me.

* Hmm, not sure why my account says I started posting here around the 3.5 transition. I wonder if my old account got eaten and I made a new one or something.

I'm pretty sure I got here shortly after the website was founded (don't ask me exactly what month), mostly for news about the forthcoming Third Edition of D&D. I didn't register for the forums until a couple of years later, though.

What, this one?

I found this play not long post 3ed. I had been a frequent visitor to a different forum (I forget which one but it had the Ask Agamemnon on it), it was slowing up, and I found this place (mayber around 2004ish).
