ESPION - the game of spies

"It's about that time, folks. Let's get moving. It might be tough to get into Rome if we miss this flight." She stands from the table and hands Carlos a fifty, waving off his attempt at returning the change.

Jason stands, his food already had been consumed neary as soon as it arrived, and turns to leave. "You're right Elz, let's get moving, we'll talk more on the flight."

Carl jammed the last of his chips into his mouth, causing whatever he said after that to be suppressed by a wall of fried potato. He hung on to his bottle of drink and followed the others out. Once he had swallowed the mouthful of food he voiced a concern.

"Are we all taking our own cars? It'd be easier if we all just jumped into one car I reckon, although by saying that I guess I just volunteered, yeah?" he said, and washed down his food with a swig of fizzy drink.

Jason looked at Carl, thinking for a moment. "Well, if you think it's safe for us to travel together, that's fine with me. I call shotgun."

Jason then paused for a moment. "Which one is your car again?"

Jason then paused for a moment. "Which one is your car again?"

"It's nothing special," Carl pointed out a Mitsubishi Magna in need of a wash, "It's in pretty good nic. Don't really spend long enough in one place to spend a lot on something like a car, but it'll last me as long as I'm here, easy."

Carl got in the driver's side then manually unlocked the rest of the doors, looking a tad sheepish as he does.

"At least it's comfortable inside, that was important," he reasoned.

Marcus takes up position in the passenger seat "well it may not be the fastest vehicle in the fleet but its better than me old zephyr" he says as he takes a final scan of the street whilst using his PDA to access an active traffic map.

"Theres a bit of congestion up Madison" he indicates as the map loads "but if we go via second we should avoid it.

how much time do we have til the plane leaves?
"

Carl said:
"How much time do we have til the plane leaves?"

Elz glances at her man's Breitling, worn casually around the wrist like jewelry. "About two hours. Shouldn't be a problem, but I'd rather be early than late."

Carl pulled out of the parking space and headed out onto the road. The briefcases were in the boot, so he had everything he'd need for the time being, assumably. Getting to the airport wouldn't be too hard with traffic advice readily at hand, but with a smooth drive requiring little attention ahead of him Carl soon asked himself what to expect in Italy. Additional hardware may have been a wise decision on the part of Elz and Marcus, but then Carl's opinion on the matter may have been a tad biased. If they were going to spend some time in the Alps, then perhaps Carl could splurge in the firepower department.

Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, he thought to himself, Aside from that line though, Alien vs. Predator really disappointed me.

He frowns, whether at the traffic or at something he's thinking about is anyone's guess, and calmly cuts in front of an elderly driver as he goes.

Jason smiles to the old woman Carl decided to cut off. He was actually rather amused. He had been cut off by numerous people when he was driving. He counted himself lucky that he had enough self control to not pull out the pistol he kept in his glove box and shoot out their tires.

"Good thing you guys know these roads. At this hour, it could take all night to get to the airport." A slight pause. "Unless we had a Lock-Mart Ramf... wait you guys haven't seen that yet. Forget I said anything."

Jason returns to staring at other drivers. She's cute. Not bad. Gross! That's a dude! She's cute....
