Is there a good place to go to get database sets for the ET Helper program....
Looking specifically for Greyhawk Database Sets.

It was my understanding that eTools Helper didn't have databases of its own, it was eTools itself that did. I know that CMP will be releasing WotC material come July 1.

There's an MSN eTools group out there somewhere ... use your Google-fu...

HOWEVER, once CMP starts releasing data sets for sale for eTools 1.2 (after the patch comes out) the EN World official policy will be that trading/posting/linking to data sets from WotC's books won't be allowed here on the boards. Just like we wouldn't allow people to post/link to pirated copies of PDFs, etc.

And if it turns out that CMP's recent partnerships with Malhavoc, Troll Lord Games, Bastion Press, and FFE are for eTools as well as PC Gen (apparently this is still up in the air), then posting/linking to data sets for those products will not be allowed either.

OGL stuff that's not for sale from CMP may or may not be a problem, we'll have to see. Of course you can distribute fan-created materials of your own if you want to.

I know it kind of stinks; heck, I was into creating and distributing data sets for a long time. But now that CMP is the only licensed source for WotC's data for eTools, we need to respect that they'll be putting in massive amounts of labor and deserve to be compensated.

I know that we can't single-handedly stop the inappropriate trading of data sets that will likely occur, but neither will we facilitate it. Hope that all makes sense!

When all is said and done with Code Monkey, can there be a "sticky" made with links for other companies data sets? I think that will help eTools become more popular. ( and would help me quite a bit.)
