Even Newer Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

[sblock=OOC]I like it. Between the three of you and Virgil, Dante's feeling pretty safe at the moment. The Paladin marks the most dangerous enemy, Wik does the ol' mark-and-run, and the tempest fighter marks whatever's left. Meanwhile, the Shaman hands out attack/defense bonuses and keeps people alive and Dante lays down the hurt (if IC likes me as much as it did last game anyway, doing some quick math based on my IC rolls, Dante's average d20 roll for attacks is a 13!)[/sblock]

I'm in!

[sblock=OOC upcoming adventure recruitment]

The current adventure should wrap up within a week or two and any possible recruitment could happen shortly after.

I am not sure who is in the tavern right now who would fit, but thought it would be good to post a heads up here anyway.

[/sblock]

Cyr is 2nd level deva invoker (controller) and free. I'd be intersted if you'll be at least to your neck in work as opposed to eyebrows :confused:

[sblock=ooc] Hmm, partial tanks ftw? Renquist is an ardent paladin, so he is half striker as well. Dante should feel very safe. Hope that didn't jinx him.... [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc] Well, I don't know if there is room, but I know Modest was trying to get his bard, Ibram, ready for this adventure too. His attack bonus benefits would make this melee heavy group go through the bad guys like a lawn mower. How many are you planning on taking Mal? [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]4 to 6 PCs.

Priority at this point would go to a controller, of course.

This ships seems about ready to sail but I will give it until saturday to start the game thread and see if there are late joiners.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I'd take a second leader over a controller most of the time. When you want a controller and you don't have one, you get by. When you want a leader and you don't have one, you die.[/sblock]

[sblock=recruitment]If any first or second level PCs are waiting on an adventure, we have a couple slots open in Marna is Missing. Especially helpful would be a defender and/or a sneaky striker. If interested, check out the adventure thread here and PM me so we can get you up to speed and discuss how to bring your character in.[/sblock]

The door to the Hanged Man opens almost imperceptibly and closes again just as unnoticed. In front of the door stands Ibram, a stout fellow with short cropped black hair. He looks beaten and worried and places himself only a few feet from the bar. He glances about the tavern and notices the other adventurers all roaring in good spirits. His mood suddenly lifts and a smile spreads across his bearded face.

[sblock=OOC] Hey Ibram Gaunt level 2 bard. Looking for adventuring party, if I can join Renquist's group that'd be great if not well..I'll check back later.[/sblock]

Ibram notices one group in particular. Amongst them a certain unease and offsetting lack of life unlike any he has felt before. It is almost just a blank spot in all the enthusiasm that surrounds it. After careful study he knows the source of his discomfort, a cloaked figure dressed in plate. The figure intrigues and amazes Ibram, almost to the point where he can't look away. "Pardon me..er..sir, but do ye 'ave a moment ter chat?"

[sblock=ooc] Okay, if it's alright with everyone else on Mal Malenkirks adventure I'd like to join. He is okay with it so I just thought I'd ask the group first. I'll be playing a valorous bard level 2, just sorting out equipment and the like before submission for approval. I used Renquist as the hook to join you guys. Let me know, thanks! [/sblock]

Dante motions to Virgil and heads out of the tavern, heading off towards the park. The devil-lizard follows, glancing back at Azuras to make sure the dragonling is coming too before pushing out the door after Dante.

[sblock=Modest]I'm always cool with another leader tagging along. The more the merrier.[/sblock]
