Even Newer Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

A huge Goliath wearing a thick full plate and a top hat too small for his head enters noisily the tavern.

-''Hi everybody, Is Ghorgor Bay! Again!'' he states with booming enthusiasm. ''Maybe you remember Ghorgor from an hour ago? No? Good, because Ghorgor no remembers any of you! People move in out like is highway! Don’t go away, Ghorgor needs to make announcement.''

He moves briskly to the bar and orders a bucket of Hanged Man’s Homemade Stout.

-''AH! At last. Ghorgor back from Bouldwaizor brewery. Is very bad torture to be around so much beer and not be able to drink any because all of it is so very awful. By the way, Ghorgor destroyed big batch of Bouldwaizor beer while at brewery. Should be less of the awful stuff in bars for maybe week. You all welcome.''

The Goliath guzzles down the beer quickly.

-''Good stout is like good meal. Okay, now listen up. Good news everybody, This time Ghorgor no come to ask for work as body trainer – even if many here really really needs Ghorgor training method. This time Ghorgor offers work.''

Ghorgor looks around and doesn’t see the expected reaction.

-''You hear? GHORGOR OFFER WORKS. With gold and everything. Look at super magic plate Ghorgor is wearing. Comes from working. Ghorgor sure others want work too.''

Satisfied that he has the attention of at least a few adventurers, he settles down, sitting on a table.

-''Ghorgor be on mission for nice chef. We gather foodstuff for to make great food so chef wins battle of the cooks. Is very easy work. But sadly, one of Ghorgor team got dead during the very easy work so we need more people. You be proud to work with Ghorgor and other people. We be the powerful mind crew! We make great food and just now we did save you all from extra awful beer of Bouldwaisor brewery made by evil dark magic man. We hero! And you can be hero too.'' Ghorgor concludes, with a big finger pointed at the crowd in his trademark Uncle Sam pose.

[sblock=Adventure]
We are a level 2 group, we would recruit 1 or 2 additional PC for 'A Chef's Request' that is DMed by renaug1

We have a balanced party of all the four psionic classes.

Ghorgor; Battlemind
Callisto; Psion
Nejs; Ardent
Fissure; Monk

We are looking for levels 1-2

Another goliath, even taller (though lankier) than Ghorgor, stands behind him silently. He carries what looks to be a small tree ripped from the ground and made into a club.[sblock=OOC]Some good ranged attackers would be keen for r1's addy.[/sblock]

[sblock=goliaths' adventure]I have a level 3 seeker in the wings if that's not too high, but Karmic is higher priority since he's a first character.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]What is the rule on adventuring with a yet-to-be-approved character again? Willow is brand new, and no one has looked over her yet, but I'd love to take her out for a spin.[/sblock]

[sblock=industrygothica]It's fine as long as the DM doesn't mind (which they generally don't), but you can't gain experience until approved.[/sblock]

At some point during Ghorgor Bay's loud and compelling speech, One-Who-Waits has vanished without anyone's noticing his departure.

[sblock=Retiring One-Who-Waits]Just a notice I can link to, showing that One-Who-Waits has been retired.

By the way if you replace a retired character with one of the same level, do you get the same XP value as the original character had, or do you start at the beginning of that level?[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]
You get the minimum xp for that level unfortunately.

re: my adventure. I'm fine with levels 1-4. It's not a big difference, but I find 5 is a big bump in effectiveness with the second daily.

Oh, & I never mind about unapproved PCs.
