If so, check out these CC3 video tutorials by Joseph Sweeney that Profantasy, the makers of CC3, released today:

ProFantasy Software - Community: User Tutorials - map making for game, historical and hobby mappers

Not only are they a great way to learn the program, they serve as a good into to the software for those that might be interested in purchasing. And if you have CC3 and found yourself frustrated and gave up, these tutorials are a great, easy and organized way to learn the software and start enjoying your purchase.

Let me second the utility of these tutorials. I've been using CC2 for years, and I recently upgraded to CC3. I was flummoxed by sheets and effects. In 10 minutes, Sweeney's tutorials put me on the right track.

In general, CC3 is a damn fine program that produced beautiful maps. The interface is hard to get a handle on, but once you figure it out, you can produce high-quality stuff very quickly.

I've been using Campaign Cartographer software since 1997 and I *still* walked away from the tutorials learning something new.

Yes - these tutorials really get you up and running with the program and the interface and explain very well the basic concepts you need to know.

Yep - those tutorials are awesome. I struggled with CC3 and nothing 'clicked' easily regarding sheets and layers and sheet effects, but after watching those tutorials... BAM... mapping became much easier (and fun). Highly recommended!

Sweet. I have CC3, but i haven't had time to try and figure it out yet, despite having used CC2 a fair amount. I've been waiting for something like this.

Thank you for posting this. I have been eyeing CC for years but I have always been too intimidated to make the plunge.

This is helping me get over my reluctance.
