Wow. If I were in this position, though, and everything else about the game looked good, I'd just find the meanest, brokenest critter with a +4 LA I could, and play as that.

Well, I'd have to say a juvenile brass dragon for that--+13 BAB, 4d6 breath weapon, natural armor +12, fly 200 ft., etc. etc.

I wanted to get to the part where the DM saw the giant using his unarmed attacks with reach. That would have been funny.
