You know, if they did the stats in great enough detail, you could consider doing a "Movie Industry Fantasy Studio League" People could draft producers and directors and execs....

Interesting...though wouldn't the 'season' be a year long? Long time to play an online Fantasy studio league....

Well, online has little to do with it - the first fantasy sports leagues were happening before "online" was an adjective :)

As for the length of season, yes, it is longer than a sport season. But it is also a whole lot slower. Longer, but lower maintenance.

You could do it based on the movie releases which are based on the summer and holidays. I think I would make it along the lines of a 'stock' game, the players buy a percentage of both movie companies and stars.

6.55 Average cost of Admission in 2006? HA! Thats funny.. I wish I had some of those budget theaters around here.. cause last year the local theaters admission price were 9.50 - 10.50

Just like the virtual stock market games, pick an arbitary start and end date.

I'm interested, as long as it's online so I don't have to do the math on paper. :p

Yeah, that figure has got to be skewed by the small independent and budget theaters. Of the theaters in my area, most are priced around $9.50, with a one or two around $4.00. But these theaters play independent films and movies that have been released for 3+ months.

But then I do live in New England, where everything is overprice.

That's the thing -- everything south of Mason-Dixon is less expensive, from Gasoline to Movie tickets, and the price varies when moving from the spectrum of Urban to rural, as well.

Locally, the biggest (14-screen) multiplex we have charges about 8 bucks for an evening showing, and about $6.50 for a matinee.
