Every time I see IMO or IMHO, I will drown one of these kittens

have you come up with a defecit of kittens by now? will you have to stalk the alleyways looking for kittens on which to slake the vengeful feelings caused by overly playful enworlders? ;)

I learned long ago that in order to have a civil and effective arguement, there are a couple of simple tricks to keep the other party from getting defensive and angry. One of those tricks is to preface some sentences with "I feel" or "I think" or "it is my opinion that...." This keeps the implication that what you are saying is gospel truth and anyone who disagrees with it is wrong. It may be redundant, but strangely enough, it works.

Yeah, Aeric has it.

If I say:

"There is no easier method that can provide the marketing leverage to bring in new markets to RPGs." then it sounds like a statement of fact, and then those who are fighting on the opposite side will DEMAND that I back up my facts, or will spend time chasing after my "false statements" and so on.

When I preface it with "In my opinion as a marketing professional" then I've stated that this is an opinion and not a statement of fact.

"Prove you're a marketing professional!"

I dunno, I've been chastized for my "difficulty understanding the implied IMO" in posts with phrases like "the only rational decision is" and "you are simply wrong".
This made me laugh out loud. Thank you! :D

The only think I don't like about the two acroyms is that they are exactly that: Acronyms. They break the nice natural flow of text, and I don't like that. :)

I really like cats & kittens (and even if I didn't, I have a deep respect for life and despise real life violence), but I hate extortion and blackmail, thus I feel forced to do this:

IMHO
IMO
IMHO
IMO
IMHO
IMO
IMHO
IMO
IMHO
IMO
IMHO
IMO
:(
...
...
IMHO
IMO
IMHO
IMO
IMHO

Sorry, dear kittens. I am deeply sorry. But I cannot accept any kind of extortion. If I am giving in this time, I will invite others to try it the next time.
Sorry. :(
