Lokin stops, looking back at the dwarves.

"Hungry, eh? Fine. Now that you mention it, I am pretty hungry."

He checks the hallway one more time before heading back into the room and placing his heavy pack on the floor.

( OOC: Kol-mun got ahold of me, and he's in the hospital until probably sometime Thursday evening. He's having surgery that morning for a fairly large kidney stone, so won't be around for a little bit. I know he's hoping to be around that night, here's to hoping. ::crosses her fingers:: )

The group stops to experience Kyle's culinary talents with stirge meat. You have a chance for a little dinner conversation with Thengor before he returns to the surface. Let me know if you have any questions for him.

Obviously, nobody does, except for the NPCs.

The group enjoys another fine meal. Thengor compliments Kyle. "It wasn't enough just to free me. You also had to treat me to a feast worthy of Geoth." The rest of you find this a slight exaggeration, but given what Thengor has just been through, you understand that his aesthetic sensibilities may be a little distorted.

Over the course of the meal, Kyle opens up to Thengor. The two dwarves exchange a lot of banter about their families and homes. Kyle decides he'll escort Thengor out and back to civilization. "We could split up the loot now, if the rest of you want to continue. I'll take my share and go with Thengor."

Kongu asks Thengor about the complex. He knows nothing of its history, didn't even know the legends about its original occupants. Kongu is wavering about whether to return with the dwarves or press on with the rest of you. Zurd, although weakened from the stirge bite, however, would give no thought to abandoning his quest.

OOC: I'm trying to cut down on NPCs. Zurd is the one I'd have the hardest time justifying a reason for his leaving, but I definitely don't want to run 3 NPCs at a time. Are the rest of you going to continue after dividing the treasure? If so, would you quibble with a "fair" division?

Lokin finishes up the meal with a sad smile.

"Well, Kyle. It's a shame you have to go. I think I've started to take your cooking for granted. I understand, though. In my opinion, you've more than earned your cut of the loot since you've come on board."

He turns to Payne, Kol, Zurd, and Kongu.

"I want to stay until this place is cleaned out. We started this and I want to finish it. Of course, when Kyle's gone we'll be missing the ability to quickly heal our wounds. I mean, that's why we went to recruit more help in the first place. What do you guys think?"

"Hmmm let me get this straight...Our cook and healer is going, but I still get the company of the downy soft half-orc who tries to make me eat lizardfolk and shoots colors out of his arse and knocks out half the party." he rubbed his chin apparently actually thinking about it.

Zurd answers with a sneer. "Hey, if you don't like to watch the show, don't stand in the way!"

OOC: Funny how Zurd just hasn't been as assertive, or as annoying, since becoming an NPC. Still, I can't have him totally lose character. :p

`` Sounds like a walk in the park to me.`` Sarcasm, as per usual. ``I don't really feel like we've gotten much.. compensation from this little voyage. But, I probably could have better things to do back in town other than offin' a few orcs.`` She shrugged, Payne too was actually contemplating staying or splitting. ``What the hell. Whatever you guys decide.``

"I say we finish looking around, at least. I mean, what's the point of killing all the orcs if we leave the treasure behind. We haven't fully explored this place. There could be a pile of gold in any one of these rooms. If we find the situation is bigger than we expected or still holds unseen dangers, we can leave and regroup. But if we're done with the majority of the danger, we should at least make whatever profit we can off of this place."

"There was one magic shield laying around." he nodded to Lokin. "So there must be more. But I wont be camping here healing for a week again locked in some rotten kitchen."
