Dunno about the Class Construction Guide, tjoneslo, but it seems that the Jester disagrees about how good the body conduit ability is, and thus how strong the class is overall. Could you elaborate on how you rated the ability?

I largely cringed as i typed out the body conduit ability.

But it effecively nullifies your con bonus to the fortitude saves for backlash purposes, as every point of constitution bonus also increases your save DC.

It seems like it weighs out? Or would losing spellcasting progression make things better as well as making the Overchannel ability more appealing to use?

Sure, the Guide assigns points based upon the effectiveness of an abiliity which is usually based upon the pluses it gives. +2 is two points, up to +4 is four points, up to +10 is eight points. Or more generally, a +1 is worth one point. The only exception to this is the BAB, but BAB is a special case everywhere else too.

The average spell caster isn't going to buff their constitution the way they would thieir intelligence or charisma (in theory). Since an 18 con gives you a +4 bonus, it's worth 4 points. You can get it higher than than, but you need to give up some other abilities to do so.

That's the explination.
