Exalted Champloo - Episode 1 - "Intolerance"

Temari looks puzzled by the description of Alamar and herself, and especially the name they had called her, the Wretched certainly was confusing and not the least flattering. 'How could they have known what we look like? We slew those two Dragon Blooded so they definitely wouldn't have been able to describe me, its possible that they were after Alamar before that so they know what he looks like, but how would they know what I look like unless...unless they were looking for Alamar's trail in the villiage and they put his appearance together with my disappearance. That wouldn't tell them that I have Exalted though, the only people that would know that are mother, Jubei, and Gaolin since we told them when we left but they wouldn't report me...would they?' the girl wonders possible plans forming and being discarded as she contempletes the situation. 'I have the information I need.' she thinks and tenses, ready to make good her retreat from the rooftop.

At the feel of Disciple's breath along her cheek Temari grimaces but doesn't turn to face him, keeping her eyes below to try and catch any sign of awareness of the position of the two exalts. "Do you exist simply to try my patience?" the girl asks quietly. "What path would you have us take? There are 5 of us, more if Alamar brings his warriors."

“You should be flattered,” the Disciple replies in whisper.

“Well I doubt you could leave via this entrance or any other from the city, without notice. Well perhaps you could, but your comrades surely could not. So tell me is the old man, your lover or just a traveling companion,” he continues speaking in close quarters.

“Answer that and I shall answer your latter query.”

"Alright, I'm flattered that you like annoying me." Temari tells the other exalt smirking at him. The fact that the pair were holding a converstaion a bare 10 feet above the soldiers who were searching so determinedly for her was pretty amusing since she doubted they would find either of them. "I doubt that Swallow or Alamar would be able to sneak anywhere, the other 2 would do well, but then again Snow is like bringing a marching band along."

At the Disciples question, the girls tongue peeks out from the right corner of her mouth in silent laughter. "Alamar does satisfy a hunger, but not that particular hunger, no." she tells the dexteruous Exalt. "He loves to hear himself speak, and I like asking questions." she informs him.

“He does enjoy hearing himself rattle his bone box,” the Disciple quips, “Alright, well you answered my question and I shall answer yours. If you wish to get outside the city, I know another way, a low road that can get you outside Chiaroscuro without notice. I am sure you and your companions can manage the dangers of the path.”

“I have left a mark by a well in Beggar’s March, not from here, down the well is the entrance to the Low Road; though I warn you… it is near a shadowland which has its own complications. But at least the dead are not actively looking for you, yes?”

"Some choice." Temari shoots back though its more a neutral comment about the choice then a whine. "I believe that we could slay these soldiers, but I'm not so sure about the next group that they would send. Especially if anyone went telling tales and word got back of a quintet of Exalted in one place." She says, weighing the options before deciding he was most likely right, that fleeing would be the wiser course of action then fighting them, at least for now.

"I don't suppouse you have been able to over hear how they have my description have you? Its quite vexing as I have told no one that I have Exalted and those that were preseant when we faced the Swan Maiden would know there are 5 of us, not 2 and its doubtful the news would have reached far enough to bring a Scale and 2 Dragon Bloods in a matter of days. Not after the discusions that were had with the survivng cultists."

"In any case, I thank you for your aide, and wish you well, though I must confess curiosity as to how you created that arrow. It was a neat trick."

"It would be entertaining to watch," the Disciple quips.

"Not a clue," he shrugs.

He watches her leave, "If you survive the desert and return, then I will satisfy that curiosity and more."

"Sounds enjoyable." Temari tells Disciple giving him a wink, before she slinks back over the roof staying low so that she wouldn't skyline to the soldiers below. The huntress does her best to slink along unnoticed, intending to search for the well that her friendly stalker had so kindly marked for the circle's use, after that, she would rejoin her circle mates and hopefully lead them safely through the tunnel.

Romen quietly follows the circle into the trashy Cart place.

"When we paused to gather supplies, it looks like the garrison here took the time to organize too. I agree that fighting our way out isn't an acceptable choice; I guess that leaves hiding around in here until the search blows over, sneaking out, or talking past them. I have doubts about my ability to slip over the walls unnoticed. Depending on who exactly they're searching for, talking our way past might be kind of easy. If that girl can overhear the descriptions, we can probably figure something out."

"Umm, speaking of Temari, how is she supposed to find us in here?"

"I'm not in favor of risking talking our way through the gate. If ... when they find out we are the ones they are looking for, we will have a fight on our hands. I have little doubt we can actually hold them off, but it is a lost cause. If we win today, we will fall tomorrow, this city is strongly in the pockets of the Realm... As for hiding," Snow shrugs, "I'd much prefer a fight in that case. I'm in favor of sneaking our way out of here. This is a large city, I'm sure there are a thousand ways of getting out of here if necessary."

"The girl claims to be the best tracker of Creation, this is as a good a test as any," Snow winks at Romen.

"If an attempt to sneak out fails, we'll still have a fight on our hands. There may plenty of ways out, but how many of those will be watched too? Besides, I can barely navigate the normal streets of this ruin." Romen shoots an inquiring look at the Chirascouro native Kaela.

"We kind of need to hear what she has to say, why needless antangonize her? She could sneak away by herself, most likely."
