Exalted players are security risks!

Exercise of power

It's impossible to tell from a one-sided retelling of an account. I wish I would have thought to say all that at the time had the challenge been to me.

The motivation of the security guard is the question. I'm presuming this guy was some sort of churchie. Nubile, empowered female figure on a sort of book that he learned at some "bible lesson" was a wrong thing to have. To protect the others from this sorcerer's spellbook (this is the line of thinking, honest to pete folks) he tries to confiscate. But Satan's emissary is too slipperly for him, making a racket and pointing out that his argument is illogical (they always do that, darn it.)

That's my theory, anyway.

You all missed the point. The woman in that picture was armed with a huge sword. Swords are dangerous weapons. The guard was only doing his duty to protect the passengers from sword wielding women.

It sounds like a rather dubious tale. I wouldn't be surprised to hear the guy is making it up. I guess I wouldn't be really surprised to find that it's true either. However, it pays to take outrageous stories told by some guy on the internet with a grain of salt.

As for the Maxim comparison--you've got to be kidding. There's way more skin on Maxim magazine covers. There's more skin on any given womens' magazine cover at the supermarket checkout stand. For that matter, there's more skin on the cover of most comic books.

Scam or bad blood would be my guesses as to why the security guard acted in that manner if he really did.

Yeah, my first reaction was that the security guard was trying to get a free copy. :)

Maybe because thats the only logical reason i could see for being that assinine and trying to actually confiscate personal effects of others that the guy didn't "approve" of. Unreal.

If this story were in any way true, all he would have had to do was demand to talk to the guard's boss. Problem solved.

Of course considering some of the things being confiscated by airport security these days, one never knows...

Isn't it neat how our own prejudices color our judgement?

Yep. This is a controversial subject, and it's pretty easy to blame a church or societal paranoia or whatever. Personally, I blame aliens and their anal probes. It's their fault, and we just have to prove it. This would have never happened if that guy was wearing a tinfoil hat.
