I agree, plus come on! Nothing beats having them in-person, and having them at the table for easy use. It would really hurt my eyes to try and read it all on the computer (thus why don't buy pdfs).

Another post indicates that 4E first print run (with a larger initial volume then 3E) is already sold out due to pre-orders. So I don't think so.

Well, for the sake of accuracy, it was larger than the initial 3.5 core print run, not the initial 3E print run.

But it's still great news for WotC.

I generally do not believe that people that really like what they see would be stopped from buying the actual rulebooks.

You probably still have a little time. It's sold out from WotC; not necessarily from distributors.

Hopefully, since WotC's already going back to print, there won't be a gap at all. But of course, the article doesn't go into details on time schedules, so I've no way of guaranteeing that.

I would like to see a human wizard SOLO npc. There is no SOLO template in the DM and I would like to have a Solo Mage as the boss in my first story arc.

No Solo template needed. The rules for monster creation tell ya how to modify a monster to make it Solo or Elite.

Build the wizard. Note the bonuses to defense. Multiply HP and XP by 4 for Solo level 10 or less or 5 for Solo level 11 up. Note bonus to Saving Throws. Note Action Points. Done.
