I'm reaaaaaaally picky. I looked at From Stone To Steel in the store, put it down. Later read some more positive reviews, decided to take a look at it again. Decided that with Palladium's Compendium of weaponry I could convert most weapons to 3e that I want to my satisfaction, and I didn't need the rest of the book...

I was incredibly excited about Mercenaries: Born of Blood last September... I think it's now a GenCon release. To say that the continual wait sapped my excitement is an understatement. I doubt it's going to be 3.5 compatible (although that's probably not a big deal); I don't even know if the science fiction portion of it is compatible with D20 Modern or not. :(

Wow, you really are picky, I can see that much research for something expensive, like a camera, but not an RPG book isn't exactly a huge investment

RPG books get my juices flowing? no.

Maria Sharapova? yes. :D

I'm generally pretty stoked, though I'm at a slow phase right now. I've already got the 3.5 stuff on preorder (and I've already argued half the rules to death), so I won't be excited about it again until I actually have it in my greedy, grasping little paws.

I save most of my week-by-week jumping up and down and giggling for comics.

There's at least one or two products every year that gets me excited. So far this year, Arcana Unearthed is that product. However, I do have a problem with overpromotion. I was really excited about 3.5 earlier this year, but between the message board and the revision articles in Dragon and on Wizards' website, my enthusiasm for it has waned considerably.

i wait. usually i buy my on half.com or ebay after the second month or so after the release. by then people have had a chance to say yeah or nay.

i don't get excited over the new stuff. ever.

I do get excited about gaming stuff, but it's not a continuous thing. Mostly it's when the happy confluence of income and new product come together, which leads to me sitting on the edge of my seat until the day when something new comes out.

So at present, when I know I'm not buying any new gaming material until October some time, I'm not getting excited. In the past, though, I was at the FLGS on the day of release in order to pick up Requim for a God and Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil.

This is why I avoid much the trollish 3.5 drivel on this and many other boards. ;) :D My life has amazingly become much more stress free! I like the revision articles now, I'm excited about my preorder, its incredible! I can't wait!

w00t!

I'm very excited about Monte's Arcana Unearthed. And that's an understatement ;). I'm pretty confident it will rock.

Midnight also has some positive buzz going for it, and I would like to try it for a different kind of campaign. Sadly, no stores here in finland seem to carry it. Too bad.
