Exclusive Contest! ROB LIEFIELD draws your character!

The Best part is ...

His first published work was a fairly decent piece of fan art in an old issue of Boris the Bear.
Somehow as he got older he forgot how to draw.

Although that Cap America pic is often pulled up to "prove" that Liefield is a bad artist, what is missed are the hundreds, if not thousands, of comic book panels that are actually fairly good. I have a fair amount of his X-work (during the Phalanx Covenant, IIRC) and it's mostly quite good. I'd take a Liefield pic of my character any day.

*sniff* I like Rob Liefeld....and the new X-Force comics. Except for all the confusing time traveling and alternate realities.

Wait, that's pretty much all X-Force ever was.

Now if Rob would design me a woman, I would be as happy as Big Bird!
If Robbie designed your woman, she would have an S-curve in her spine, gazongas out to here, toothpicks for ankles, and she would always be hiding her feet behind something.

It's amazing how much foliage and stray wisps of smoke there are in the Marvel Universe.

Odd that Wayne Reynolds draws characters who likewise are rather awkwardly posed, but because he doesn't completely shoot the finger at God by drawing misshapen man, we all approve.

Hehehe. . . Got me on that one. At first I was like you have to be kidding me. Referring to good layout he has done, the majority of it was stolen from Frank Miller, Jim Lee, and a bunch of other artists. There was an article in Wizard about that quite a few years ago with side by side images to prove it.

Of all of Liefield's quirks, my favorite were his character faces. In combat they always had their mouths closed with this stoic look on their faces, but when talking to someone else he would drawn these huge open mouths on people. I always got a kick out of that. To his credit, he did design the coolest costume for Shatterstar, but that was about it. . .
