I still have yet to play 4e as my group is wrapping up 3.5. But we are gearing up for 4e and I'm excited about trying out the multi-classing. So, I'm not as familiar with the rules as you probably are. With this in mind, please tell me if, as a dm, this is something you would allow, is a good idea or provides potential for abuse.
The idea is to 'dabble' even more with multiclassing by using (even more) feats. For example:
- A (paragon?) feat that allows a rogue or someone with the rogue multiclass feat to classify any one weapon they are proficient in as a 'light blade' for the purposes of backstabbing and other rogue abilities. Maybe to keep damage down, exclude two-handed weapons that aren't usable by small creatures from this, so short bow is okay but glaive is not.
- A feat that allows you to use one or all wizard cantrips as an encounter power, provided you already have wizard multiclass feat.
- A feat that allows a cleric multiclass access to 'channel divinity' as a daily power (usable as many times per day as it would be per encounter for a true cleric).
I'm sure there are similar options for the other classes that I can't think of. Thoughts?
