D&D 5E Expansion Rules Gift set: Should I buy?

If I buy the new set, the old, invalidated books go out the window. I have done more Organized Play than anything, over the past many years, and there is a hard rule there that the most recent published version of a rule is the only valid rule, so the old versions of all those classes will no longer be valid for play. And I like my home games to run by the same rule.

So for context. I have both of the books to be directly reprinted (Tasha and Xanathar) and the two monster books that are having their material reworked (Volo and Mordenikien). I have also been lucky enough to get the alt covers for all but Mord.

Should I sell off my existing books and get this set instead?

Advice?

Pre-order them on Amazon, then wait for previews and more info on the contents to decide if you want to cancel your order or not.

Plus ask yourself if the none monster and race stats parts of MToF and VGtM worth anything to you?
