Experience with FATE?

I've read the rules to both SotC and Starblazer. I like the feel of the rules and suspect they would work well in pick-up games, but I'm not sure how well they would suit a long term campaign. But that just my impressions from a read thru. Hoving yet to put the rules into lay I can't know for sure.

I'm not sure what you mean about dumping everything into an aspect. Is that a 2.0 thing? Because the more recent editions Aspects have no value.
Yeah, you have a number of aspects in Fate 2e, and you can put multiple boxes in a single aspect without any real limits. You also don't spend Fate Points to "trigger" your aspect or what-have-you; both Fate Points and Aspects are separate ways to modify die rolls, with Aspects being the stronger of the two. (It's supposed to be limited by them having narrower scopes, but that doesn't always work so well. :))

It's very freeform, and pretty abusable if you have a group full of gearheads. :) Being something of a mechanics junkie myself, I just found that it wasn't the right game for my group.
