Experiment: Incognito Monster

Avolakia. As you say, that is one weird critter.

Avolakia. They're Kyuss-worshippers, and I think they'll play a part in Paizo's Age of Worms campaign.

But MM2 has an even better choice. Yak-men! They have a +2 LA (this can be figured from the +7 ECL given under "Yak Folk Characters"), and with their Body Meld ability, they aren't even disguised, per se -- they really are someone else. Give it a few levels of sorcerer, a magic staff or two, and a fake magic item to summon a janni once per day, and it should be able to keep up with a party.

Cheers
Nell.
Who now wants to run an annis monk and a yak folk sorcerer.

I just started a game playing a Yak Folk, from MM2. Can basically magic jar into any standard phb race or giant of medium or large size. I think they're CR5, give it some lvls in sorc though and pump up that disguise ranks and you're good ta go, plus if they get onto him he can summon a janni and plane shift away, evilly cackling all the time. That might be a good one for ya.

edit: totally didnt notice the post right above mine mentioning yak folk. so i'll resummerize: Me too!!!
