Faction package certs

I got a faction package from my FLGS. There was something in it saying it was a certificate, but with no explanation. What's the deal? Are these good for anything?

It sounds like you got a judge folder? The enclosed certificate is for a DM to add to one of their characters that they make for that season.

Nope, an Emerald Enclave faction folder, the only kind they had left. On one side it says "Emerald Enclave Membership" and some other things. On the other it lists a Certificate Identification Code and a number.

I thought you just noted your faction membership on the log sheet, no certification was needed. So what does the cert do?

Oh, that's just an ID code, it doesn't do anything (it was originally for something else that didn't happen). If you want to join a faction, you just write it on your character sheet.
