Fading Suns D20.... how good is it?

If you arent fond of the HP system, nothing is stopping you from using Wound/Vitality, or even Grim and Gritty, as both would apply well to the setting.

Its an excelent product, I couldnt decide wether to play Dragonstar or Fadingsuns, so i have a mutant campaign... Muahahahaaaa.....

Its one of my favourite products. Im not sure how well all the classes balance with traditional DnD ones, but they work within the context of the game.

Buy it, thats my advice.

I really liked fading Suns. They really got the setting across by good thinking and revising the d20 rules where necessary. The introduction of social feats and broad almost kit like classes rocked.

The game is also pretty complete except for starship combat (which I often gloss over too) and antinomists (demon summoners). Both of these will be released shortly but neither are necessary to the setting (you could almost use Wizards for Antinomists I guess :) ).

My only complaint is that its not lethal enough (but then again neither is the original). The introduction of WP/VP would fix this easily enough.

As for Dragonstar I agree with some of the others here. Dragonstar though fleshed out more was bland in comparison. It is Space in D&D and not a new setting the FS is.
