falling and water surface tension

At how many feet does the surface tension of water become deadly? This is a handy thing for games with water "down below."

Well, for water it depends strongly on how you hit the surface (unlike solid ground). A well controlled jump head forward can work for 40 meters and more - just falling onto the back can be deadly already at 10 meters.

This would be a very nice application where the tumble skill will have a really strong influence (much more than falling onto solid ground).
