Familiar recommendations?

My brother is playing a human sorceress. I don't like a man playing a female, but hey - it's fun. Anyways he doesn't have a familiar yet, but he will get one when he finds something suitable.

Any recommendations for a cute 19 yr old sorceress? She's pretty vain about her looks, likes to flirt in order to get her way, and doesn't want an ugly familiar. Any suggestions? Making something up on your own would be fine too, she's 3rd level and willing to wait until 6th for improved familiar.

How about a mirror, with psicrystal abilities? That way, it can enhance facets of her personality. She can then add additional facets as she desires.

Does she plan on being sublte or overt? Is she good or bad? Is she afraid of creepy crawly things? Does she plan to flaunt her familiar or keep it a closely guarded secret?

I like famaliars a lot and love seeing how they can be cleverly used in a campaign by fast thinking players. It is always interesting to see a famaliar or a cantrip save the day when the group is 10+ levels in experience Doesn't happen always but when it does i like to reward some brownie points.

She's overt, the familiar probably would too. It'd probably be very vain and able to communicate. She's CG I believe? She has spectral hand and a wide variety of touch spells for her selection, so delivering spells isn't needed. More of a RP hitch then anything else.

She's also from Baneta, so an Otter would be kind of slick.

Nothing wrong with males playing females, unless their characters become the nympho sluts from hell.

Cat would fit pretty good, I'd say. Otherwise Raven is probably the most useful, as it can speak. Or Bat, because of the Blindsight, but a Bat would not fit, probably!

Hmm...tough call but I'm gonna rule out a toad for the time being....

Hawks are graceful beautiful creatures that may fit in theme, or depending on how she shall be role-played you could go for a sexy Cleopatra thing and have a snake?
