Just an FYI for American views that may not know.

Family Guy Seasons Premier is an hour long parody of Star Wars (using Family Guy characters and Family Guy style humor) September 23. 9pm eastern, on Fox (1 hour).

Though, I don't know what time it will be on in other time zones (or other countries).

If you like Family Guy, or you like Star Wars parodies, you might enjoy it.

Just sharing. That is all.

Sounds great, if not exactly timely (when did the last SW movie come out? 2005?)
When has a Star Wars parody been timely? Mel Brook's "Spaceballs" came out a decade later, and the Simpson's parody about against "Episode One" was four years later.

Any time is a good time for a Star Wars parody. Star Wars is timeless. And of course 2007 is the 30th aniversary of the world greatest sci-fi epic so that may bbe their reason. Now if only Mark Hamill would geust star.

So it came on tonight and was pretty funny. The "parsec a measure of distance" and "hyperspace is strange" and the argument about RobotChicken were good, but Stewie as Vader was not as funny as I thought it would be.

Some good stuff in there. The Sun Times reviewer though made it sound like the best thing ever which it wasn't. But some good stuff nontheless.

I was ticked to discover I'd missed the first half; and then relieved to see in the 2nd half that it wasn't all that funny. I apparently didn't miss much. Lots of shot-for-shot re-creations of the movie in Family Guy animation style. I specifically said out loud*, "Where is the funny" during the approach to the Death Star.

*Not as sad as you might think; Mrs. Noah was in the room. :)

Mild Spoilers in this Post

I thought it was good overall. A couple of laugh-out-loud moments for me:

1. Peter/Han telling Chris/Luke not to get "cocky" during the tie-fighter fight (what he actually said probably isn't grandma-friendly, so I won't reproduce it here).

2. The doctor from Airplane coming into the Falcon's cockpit to tell the crew, "I just wanted to tell you both, 'Good luck.' We're all counting on you."

3. Realizing that Meg's only appearance in the Star Wars portion was a half-second-long shot as the trash compactor creature.

I think Robot Chicken's take was much better, though.

Later,

Atavar
