I don't think it is in bad taste, but I wish the corpulent was a little clearer on the game mechanics. It has them become large and then huge but says not as tall as other creatures of that size category, it is not clear if the facing and reach change for the new size.

Btw was the fat/taste connection a deliberate pun?

Fatling is now a template btw. But no I don't find any of it in poor taste. I do agree with Biggie, Shallow Hal, THAT was poor taste.

I don't have a problem with the famine spirit or the fatlings, but I am opposed to the corpulent, mostly because it just borders on obscene parody. Becoming Huge? Absorbing foes into their fat? Please.

Demiurge out.

The way I see it, if you are a large person and the depiction of similarly-shaped creatures as "monsters" offends you, perhaps you should skip on your next Big Mac and donate that money to a charity that feeds people who are actually starving .

But if I'm okay with it, I can still have my Big Mac, right?

Personally, I find the picture of the bodak (MM) offensive. Its head looks like a perverted Georgia O'Keefe painting (or is that redundant?)

There are a large number of "vertical mouth" critters in the MM. I guess they're supposed to look "alien" -- to me, they just make it look like the artist is lonely.

Your campaign intrigues me with such an inclusion, but as to bad taste? Not at all.

I consider the creatures and the concepts no less or more vile than succubi - the result of complete obession with lust - where the vice is lust rather than gluttony.

Tsyr congrats abd good luck to you: I hope you find your happiness

I'm one of the "no, not at all in poor taste," people, but, like Sixchan, I may be biased. Either way, Kenjib - I'm so very much intrigued with your campaign setting after just that one post. You wouldn't happen to have any more information floating around anywhere, would you?

Yeah I mean how many well manner villians do you run into in most fantasies? Not as many in real life but hey, that's the trade-off between a reality with stock brokers and a fantasy game with grossly overweight things.
