fan setting for George Martin's Song of Fire and Ice?

I love this series, and can't wait until Guardians of Order release their book. I can't wait so much that I was hoping fans had put any effort into developing it for their own home game. Any ideas?

i've had thoughts about it, and they basically turn out something like this:

Limited Classes: Only classes allowed are Fighter, Non-magical Bard Varient, Rogue, Ranger, Barbarian (even that one is iffy), Expert, Commoner, and Aristocrat.

Extensive rules for Tourneys.

PrCs relating specifically to SoIaF, including ranger of the wall, as well as a few PrCs geared to specific houses and the horselords, etc.

Get your hands on Dragon Magazine #307. It has Westeros written up as a campaign setting. Not too detailed, but quite enough to get someone started.
Does it have more than maps and history? I was thinking on a d20 D&D ruleset, not just another setting. Perhaps using grim n grity rules, limited spell casting (adeps up to lvl 6?), etc.

Spellcasting is very very limited on westeros, with exception to the Maegi and the Blood Mages of the Asshai but even then the magics aren't your typical D&D types of spells in effect or nature being more rituals and have costs beyond your basic spell components.

Their does seem to be magical type of heritage for some folks along the lines of the lost traits of the Wheel of Time game e.g prophecy, blood of the dragon, blood of the first men, direwolf kinship etc... so concentrating on providing traits that would allow PC's to create bloodlines and houses that are unique of thier own would be a nice touch.

Having a generational game also seems to be something work considering as the PC's families would play and important part too (as NPC's future replacement characters).. maybe even allowing for a PC to keep a character tree much as the old Dark sun allowed, but with the characters all needing to come from the same family perhaps.

Not really in any depth. It has advice on running campaigns in both the Icewall and the rest of Westeros. Several important NPCs are fully stated and others are given mention with just their class & level. It has a prestige class for the Night's Watch and some monster equivalencies. It has some advice on cutting down the magic in the game, but not much more than a paragraph or two of suggestions. So I guess the answer is that there are no real alternative rules to speak of.
