I'm with Teflon Billy in this, the Ars Magica mythic europe stuff is excellent stuff.
Mythic Europe in itself is fairly good, but the Medieval Handbook and Ordo Nobilis (about nobility) are excellent sourcebooks for any medieval setting.
The books about the various areas of mythic europe are of varying quality. I am not that fond of the Iberian and Rome books, but the Dragon and the Bear, about the russian principalities, is a favourite of mine.
And as long as you keep magic a little low-key you should be able to use much of it as it is.
(Hârn is quite good as well. But I think mythic europe is better.)
