Fantasy Flight's PDFs on sale on Drivethrurpg

Amusingly, I notice a special listed on the side of the page when I went to check out the sale. Darwin's World Gencon 2005 adventure #2 on sale for $5.95, marked down from $12.00. Interestingly, $5.95 is the regular price over at RPGnow.

So not every sale over at DTRPG is what it seems.

I got the following at their latest 5$ sale (real books though :))

Monster's handbook - interesting ways to improve/change monsters. divided by monster category, includes lots of feats, prestige classes and general advice. execllent although 3.0

Portal and Planes - interesting book about ... well.. portals. good read but didn't use any of it

Wildscape - This one I really liked, lots of useful information about outdoor environments broken down by type, lots of hazards and rules to deal with them. Can make outdoor adventuring a whole lot spicier

I think I also have dungeoncraft but I don't even remember if I liked it or not ;)

Considering they use to only give a dollar discount on retail this seems a pretty amazing change of heart for them.

The Monster Handbook got 5 stars from everyone that's reviewed it so I think I'll pick that up.

Dungeoncraft and CityWorks are good buys if you're running -- or designing -- city or dungeon adventures.
I was curious about Dungeoncraft when I bought all FFG hardbacks in their $5 sale. This book didn't get a single review. I thought it would be boring - well, who hasn't seen a dungeon before :D? - but I was positively surprised :).

Portals and Planes is one of my favorite campaign references and I've literally been waiting for them to come off the high peg with the PDF prices.

Can see how a significant chunk of my monthly budget is being spent this month...

Edit: If you don't have it yet, Wildscape has the best mod to the 3.5 ranger I have seen.

It's not just about portals. It's also about planes. ;)

But there's some wicked cool campaign ideas regarding portals. Also has its fair share of planar adventurer stuff and nifty opposition (my players have come to rue chaos legionaires...)

Well, I thought it was pretty basic.

I'd add in that they're good if you're new to designing and running city or dungeon adventurers.
