Fantasy Grounds II

I am glad to see the FG added a lite version for players. That was my hang-up when I was looking at it previously (maybe they always had it and I missed it). I have no problem selling out $ to have the software since I GM, but I do not want burden players with the cost.

Thus, I use Maptools and I am generally quite happy with it.

One more question I have updated my program over and over but am not getting the 4E rules set is there a way to download it directly?

The latest version of FGII has the 4e ruleset as a built-in option. If you run the updater when you launch the program, you can select the 4e ruleset as the base when creating your campaigns. Admittedly, the rules content (phb, mm, etc) is another matter, but there are ways to create these modules from your exisiting rule pdf's (pre-WOTC cancellation). Also, if you join a game with a DM who already has these created, that may eliminate the need for you to create your own. Admittedly, this is not the most user-friendly of processes. But once you've played a few sessions, it's not as ugly as it first seemed.

Maptools is a wonderful (and free) program as well.
