Fantasy Websites Wanted

Hi. Wanna help me with a cool research project?

I'm looking for examples of beautful web sites that manage lots of data.

I'm looking for fun websites that manage lots of stories in a way that has personality.

Here's an example of one that I like:

Seamus Harper's Website

I like the navigation, I like the overall visual effect, I like the readability. Ok, so I'd like it better if it wasn't quite so busy with special effects, but it's in keeping with the personality expressed.

I like the way it sets a tone, and you know what kind of story it's going to tell. The genre comes through fast.

So, who can point me to another site that has "style"?
Especially, I'm looking for good sites that convey "quasi-European medieval fantasy" style. A site that has lots of fan fiction for LotR or Robin Hood or something like that would be fine, as long as the web design is good. I'm only peripherally interested in the content just now.

Thanks!

Here's another example of the kind of content I need to handle.
Nice organization, wrong genre.

Andromeda Episode List

Science fiction lends itself easily to computery looking web stuff.

Much harder to get across a "low tech" feeling in this format.

The thing the site is most painfully missing right now--apart from about 60% of the story chunks -- is a method for getting to the next story chunk without having to go back to the table of contents to click on a link. You know, "next" and "previous" buttons. I'm darn well not hard coding all those links--there would be hundreds . . . there must be a way to automate this . . .

The way that is done with web comic archives and message boards is through php (hypertext pre-processor), and though I've seen a few tutorials on how it's done, it's definatly not something I'm familiar with. It's also something that you'd have to check and see if your server supports it.

Anyone got any other solutions?
