Hey, and for kicks, we could post all the contradictory answers to the questions. The RAW say this, the official FAQ says this, the Sage says this, Hypersmurf says this, and the general concensus for "reasonable DMs" is this.

A reminder to everyone when they create custom magic items that the dmg prices are GUIDELINES.

You always get ....I can make a +1000 attack bonus item for 100 gp that's crazy threads.

How about an answer to the question about correct terminology for the term FAQ. Should it be "a FAQ" (pronounced "fack") or "an FAQ (pronounced "eff-ay-queue")?

The caster-level-for-magic-items topic seems to be the most revisited, with the is-Improved-Unarmed-Strike-a-natural-attack topic ranking second. At least, that's my experience.

Could you elaborate on this?

You'd only need four sections, not five. Hypersmurf and RAW are the same thing. Possibly even three, because doesn't the sage write the FAQ? You'd think those are the same anyway... I don't read either the official FAQ or the Sage, so I don't know. Does he contradict himself? Actually... since the FAQ contradicts itself sometimes....

How about making a subforum of D&D Rules and only allow the moderators to post there (but everyone to read). So that forum doesn't get spoiled by unrelated posts.
That would mean the moderators have to do the dirty job of typing all that stuff... :heh:

Well not a good idea perhaps. :confused:
A thread will probably suffice. Also, copy-pasting stuff someone else has written is easy. :)

What Patryn said. {I am of the school that believes that CL is prereq for crafting}

For the other one: does Improved Unarmed Strike grant you a natural attack? Well, does it? Can a vampire monk drain energy with an unarmed strike (and deliver Stunning Fist at the same time!)? Can someone with IUS take Improved Natural Attack? {I am of the school that says yes to the supernatural attacks, and no to the INA}

This FAQ could be a problem, since each position on each topic will need representation therein. e.g. The IUS problem: there are no fewer than four viewpoints (1: yes to Su attacks, yes to INA; 2: no Su, no INA; 3: no Su, yes INA; 4: yes Su, no INA).

Then, of course, the FAQ may become a flame magnet or irrelevant: "well this was just errata'ed, so we should nuke the other viewpoints. What do you mean, 'no?'"

I think the FAQ should simply be links to threads with the same topic, organized, grouped, etc. The FAQ should not actually try to answer anything. Like this post.
