I was pleasantly surprised to see 3 of my questions appear in this FAQ update. These 2, and the one about the Unyielding Roots spell.
I can see what he's saying... Extend Spell simply increases the effective duration for the caster's level, but remains bound by the spell's overall limitation on its duration. Conversely, he's saying that Persistent Spell replaces the normal duration of the spell, limit and all, with one of 24 hours.
A subtle-but-important difference in how they operate. Of course, it would be nice if the text indicated that; especially since Extend is a Pre-requisite for Persistent, which TO MY MIND implies that Persistent is an improved version of Extend and should work the same way.
