As promised, the outcome of the session...

So, my players ran the "City of Ass" session on Friday. And to their credit, the embraced the session and took a non-combat approach. The party eventually found themselves on a particularly smelly mote in the Elemental Plane of Air. The local "Sultan", a djinni named "He Who Dealt It" was ultimately behind the fart rift, but was more misguided that malicious. The party did some sleuthing and found out the djinni was ego driven and a sucker for flattery. So, the party loaded up on beans, broccoli, and booze and formally requested an audience with the djinn. Convinced that they were fellow fart enthusiasts, the djinn eventually agreed to relocate the prime-side of the portal to elsewhere. They never drew their weapons, but did need to make some fart checks to impress the djinn while bowing in his court. Our dwarven female fighter pulled a nat 20 during her "fart curtsey" and impressed the djinn so much that he gifted her a single-use crystal that she could use to summon his aid sometime in the future.

This is a side story to break the tension in a much larger and typically more serious campaign.

A side story to break the tension? It might be able to do that, but can it BREAK LIKE THE WIND!

We are the children who grew too fast
We are the dust of a future past
We raise our voices in the night crying to heaven

And will our voices be heard or will they break like the wind?

We are the footprints across the sands
We are the thumb on a stranger's hand
We made a promise in the night swearing to heaven

Is this a promise we keep or one we break like the wind?

Hey

We are the guests who have stayed too long
We are the end of the endless song
We send our hearts into the night soaring to heaven

And will out hearts still beat on or will they break like the wind?
Ooh, break like the wind

Break like the wind
Break break break like the wind
