Fatespinner -- Anyone Tried it?

If anything, the fatespinner is TOO powerfull! I had one in my group, an enchanter. Spell Focus, Greater Spellfocus, spin... And if some lucky guy actually made his save, he had to roll it again !
The guy had every BBEG eating out of his hand on the first round!

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm going for.

I was planning on picking up Spell Focus in the "Save Negates" lines of spells, like Enchantment (Illusion is my barred school).

I also plan on picking up the Spell Focus for Transmutation, so I can get some Fortitude-save based spells. (Also, this gives me something to fall back on when I face undead.)

If I can hit hard (and use spin) on both Will and Fortitude saves, I figure I'm going to be pretty lethal even without focusing on the normal "blow-them-up" spells.

That's only half the fun: variable DCs, with spin and the possibility of rerolls means that the DCs can be nigh impossible to meet (the fatespinner I mentioned had DCs of 50+ on a lucky roll), and then you can force the reroll...

One fatespinner with Chained Disintegrate, Wail of the Banshee or similar mass death spell can end an encounter with a single action.

Since Undead have no Con score and automatically make fort saves (unless the spell affeccts objects) you may want to come up with another plan...

Not really.

I'm thinking of Disintegrate.

Does wonders on undead. And objects, for that matter. :)
