Favored Enemies and Magic Vestment questions

1. Does a Ranger's favored enemy bonus get multiplied when he scores a critical hit against his favored enemy?

2. Does Magic Vestment stack with Bracers of Armor?

1. Yes. All fixed number bonuses get multiplied.

2. No, not in a generally effective way. Magic vestment provides an Enhancement bonus which increases an armor's Armor bonus -- and that increased Armor bonus fails to stack with bracers of armor. However, under v3.5 rules, apparently it would help if cast on a shield with its separate Shield bonus.

Not to doubt dcollins but are these fairly common opinions? Does anyone play differently?

I would agree that dcollins has it right.... the bracers act as a suit of armor, which can't be enhanced via magic vestment... but a shield, used in conjunction with some type of armor, taking up the suit slot, would be fine with the magic vestment enhancement.
