Favored Enemy Undead, subtypes

Seems like a real nerf to the ranger, even given that most of their enemies will be undead.

Also, your categories are somewhat unclear, especially once you include non-core sources. What does a wight count as? A crawling head? A necronaut? A deathbringer?

If anything, I'd go Skeletal, Fleshy and Incorporeal.

I'm sorry. I'm failing to see how this is nerfing the ranger any more or less than having Humanoid and Outsider selections having a subtype as well. There are as many different types of Undead as there are Humanoid and Outsider--if not more (darn those creative necromancers!). If the ranger class is so "weak" on its own that dividing up Undead as Humanoids and Outsiders already are is going to nerf the class, then something is wrong with the class itself, not my option to do this.

As I've mentioned, I've also added on the ability to effectively make Bardic Knowledge checks against their FE and gain tactical bonuses if their checks are high enough as well. And since that applies to all FEs in my game, I think that more than makes up for diversifying the Undead FE selection.

I mentioned Wights would be in the Hungry Dead category. As for the others, I'd decide on a case-by-case basis what category they fit into--if they're even going to be included in my game. I'm not doing this to short-change my players or screw them in anyway. I'm not doing this to be mean with them or anything like that. I'm simply correcting what I've long seen as a deficiency in this part of the whole FE system and I'm trying to do it in a way that makes sense and makes the players take interesting choices.
